Another Senior High School Student Ended Up Killing His Own Life After Being Humiliated By His Teacher

In a few weeks, this senior high student from Cagayan Province is supposed to climb the stage to receive his diploma. However, he did not live to see that day due to a tragic incident that ended his life and left his grieving family seeking for justice.
Last week, a senior high student took his own life after being humiliated in public. The victim was identified as Ronnel Sergia, an 18-year-old student whose lifeless body was found in their residence in Alcala, Cagayan.
Prior to his tragic death, the 18-year-old senior high student was allegedly humiliated by his own teacher when he was not able to pay for his graduation fees.
The victim’s grieving mother, Mela Sergia, claimed that the teacher was guilty of driving her son to commit suicide. In an interview with a local radio station, the mother relayed how her son suffered from embarrassment after being berated by his teacher in front of his classmates:

“The teacher shamed my son in front of his classmates, telling him he will not finish senior high school because his school fees were not yet paid in full.”

During the interview, the teary-eyed mother also narrated how her son asked for the graduation fees from her. It was Wednesday when the 18-year-old student reminded his mother of his tuition payment.
Since the family was having budget problems, they were only able to provide partial payment. Because of this, the teacher allegedly shamed the victim for not being able to complete the payment immediately.
Based on a news report from Kami, the victim allegedly sent a text message prior to his death saying he will be extremely hurt if he will not be able to graduate this year.
This tragic incident required immediate investigation but unfortunately the school remained tight-lipped on the matter. Both the school and the teacher in question have yet to release their official statement.
