While we all have our own difficulties in life, one can only imagine the struggles faced by the physically challenged. More than the physical impairment is the emotional strain that they have to endure. But some seem to take their disabilities for breakfast. These kinds of people are the ones who know how to go beyond their limitations.
A certain Rex Mendel Capili was astonished to come across a hardworking physically-challenged ice candy vendor. The man, who was identified as Albert Larion from Bagong Silang, Caloocan, moves around the village in his makeshift wheelchair. Out of curiosity, the concerned netizen couldn’t help but ask about his life story.

Albert lives with his father who’s already past his prime. His siblings, on the other hand, are already preoccupied with their own families. According to him, he didn’t want to rely on his family for support, so the physically challenged vendor was forced to make ends meet to provide for himself.

As he learned further about the man, it dawned on the social media user how fortunate he was in life. An inspired Rex reached out for help on Facebook in behalf of the handicapped vendor.
“Pero ang tanong ko’y paano nga ba ako makakatulong. Paano ko ba mapaparating sa kinauukalan na may isang taong masipag sa magtulak ng wheelchair habang nilalako ang kanyang paninda. Deserve nya ang matulungan. Hindi dahil botante sya o dahil kaawa-awa sya. Deserve ng lahat ng taong nagpapagal sa kabila ng mga patung-patong na dagok ng buhay.”

He also thanked the physically challenged vendor for being such a role model.
“Salamat kuya Albert kase pinakita mo na talagang habang buhay may pag-asa. Sana ay makarating ito sa mga pdeng tumulong sayo. Saludo po ako sa inyo!!!”
