A teacher from Thailand took to his social media account to share how he almost drove over a toddler crawling in the middle of the road without anyone watching over. According to The Star, the man, Kittithorn Jadaeng, was scheduled to supervise an examination at Banmai Klong-angwa School in Ban Rai district but he came across the baby at the bend of a road in Uthai Thani.
“The baby was almost in the middle of the road and if a car had been speeding past that spot while the baby was there, I don’t want to imagine what would have happened.”

Kittithorn also included a few snaps on his post, from the time he saw the baby until he brought the child home. Upon reaching the house, he found out that the toddler’s mother was out and that the baby managed to escape from the dozed-off dad.
Kittithorn then assured his readers that the baby is fine, though he aimed to use his encounter as a warning for parents and guardians to always look after their children. He also claimed that he did not intend to gain popularity online.

Leaving babies on their own, naturally, poses unavoidable risks. Such was the case of parents Wayne Dale and Lisa Passey who were imprisoned for the death of their 13-month-old child. The latter reportedly passed away after drowning in the bath when he was neglected for about 15 minutes.
According to the BBC, Passey was downstairs and was smoking with a friend while Wayne was busy with his computer when the unfortunate incident took place. Emily Lenham of West Midlands CPS said:
“Wayne Dale and Lisa Passey owed their son a duty of care, to protect him from harm, but they failed in that duty and due to their grossly negligent acts both were responsible for his death.”
