Abante posted a conversation which allegedly transpired between Sunshine Cruz and her ‘friend’. It was reportedly the actress who posted the conversation on Facebook to vent out her frustration.
In a screenshot of the conversation, Sunshine’s unnamed friend was asking her for a Php 2 million loan which the friend said she would return on December 28 last year. The friend claimed that she would pay the actress back in two parts, with one million to be paid back on December 22, and the other million to follow six days after.
Sunshine seemed worried because she said she needed the money to buy a new car. Despite this, the actress agreed to her friend’s request and gave her the amount she asked. Reportedly, her friend still has not paid her back, prompting the actress to say, “… a real friend wouldn’t do that.”
Another actress, Aiko Melendez, allegedly told Sunshine to get herself a lawyer and file a legal complaint. The actress reportedly agreed and said she has already given her friend enough time to settle the debt.
However, the rumor remains unverified and with no reliable source. The only ‘proof’ presented by various showbiz websites are screenshots of the transcribed conversation from an unknown source. As of writing, no official statement has been released by the actress and no post pertaining to the said incident can be found on any of her social media accounts.
