“Eat Bulaga” is the longest-running noontime show in the Philippines. This entertainment show has been providing entertainment and joy to the Filipino audience for almost four decades now! Throughout the years, Eat Bulaga has presented various segments. One of them is the “Sugod Bahay” segment, which remains popular today.
The “Sugod Bahay” segment is a part of “Juan for All: All for Juan” wherein the selected show hosts visit different barangays all over the country to bring prizes. While some “Eat Bulaga” hosts are at the studio in Broadway Centrum, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Paolo Ballesteros are out on the streets mingling with different people.

After several games involving the whole barangay, the studio hosts led by Bossing Vic Sotto choose a lucky audience member which gets to be featured in the next segment. The hosts to go the winner’s house to award them the prizes. Because of this, many people are tuned in to this segment, hoping to be chosen as the next lucky winner.
During an episode aired on Monday, December 4, the “Sugod Bahay” segment got tense as the winner made a mistake during on live TV! An old woman was chosen as the winner of this episode. After giving out the prizes, she expressed her gratitude to the hosts, but she mistakenly thanked a rival network!

Instead of thanking Eat Bulaga, the old woman mistakenly thanked ABS-CBN instead, much to the amusement of the audience! This is how the conversation went, as per LionHeartv:
“Sugod Bahay Winner: (After receiving sixty thousand pesos) Bossing maraming salamat, Joey marami pong salamat, sa lahat ng staff sa ABS-CBN
Jose: Hindi po ABS ito. Eat Bulaga po.
Winner: (Corrected her statement) Eat Bulaga.
Jose: Ano po bang pinapanood ninyo?
Winner: Wala po akong TV. Vic: At magbabalik tayo sa ABS-CBN.
Alden: Bossing!”
